As of December 1, 2025, the fixed-mobile integration service will be discontinued. This means that from that date onward, telephone numbers will no longer be linked to short internal extension numbers.

This service made it possible to use internal extension numbers (8**** and 6****) on TU Odido mobile phones as well. As a result, employees could be reached via these short extension numbers.

After the service is discontinued, employees will still remain reachable, but only via their full phone number (for example, 015 278*** or 06 **********).

In practice, this feature is now rarely used, partly due to the shift to modern communication tools such as Microsoft Teams.

No action is required from employees. After December 1, 2025, the link will be automatically removed.

Maintenance work on data centre in december https://meldingen-ict.tudelft.nl/en/#onderhoud

From 10 to 17 December 2025, ICT and CREFM will carry out major maintenance on one of the university’s data centres. This is necessary to replace the outdated power supply and to perform additional (security) maintenance. This work aligns with recent CREFM initiatives aimed at improving insight into energy consumption and using energy more efficiently.

What does this mean?

The maintenance will affect the availability of several ICT services:

  • A number of applications will be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance period.
The greatest impact is expected on Tuesday 16 December, including for education and business operations.
  • Some research facilities will be temporarily shut down. Those affected will be informed in due time.
This includes HPC Delft Blue, the OTA environment, and faculty-managed servers hosted in the affected data centre.
  • Campus safety will remain fully operational.
  • Certain U: drive folders and supporting services may have limited availability. Please refer to the FAQ on the project page.

To ensure a controlled and secure process, systems will be gradually shut down starting 10 December. After the power supply has been replaced, ICT will proceed with the required security maintenance. All systems are expected to be available again on 17 December at 08:00.

Questions?

Please contact your Faculty IT Manager or the ICT Service Desk.

This maintenance will future-proof our digital infrastructure and ensure the continuity of our services.
